Leah Shapiro has served WAPA for more than 12 years in various roles, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to its mission and people. She is a skilled storyteller, dedicated to sharing WAPA’s achievements and ensuring the organization presents itself in the best light.

Ben Blaquiere with WAPA’s Upper Great Plains region epitomizes the organization’s core values through dedication, hard work and humility. For over 38 years, he has been a cornerstone at the Miles City Converter Station in Montana, earning him a 2024 ESA recognition.

Jonathan Aust has been instrumental in guiding WAPA through significant transitions, particularly in integrating RM and DSW regions into the SPP’s Western Energy Imbalance Service and CAISO’s Western Energy Imbalance Market.
