WAPA approves one transmission rate across four projects in Desert Southwest

Today, the Western Area Power Administration approved a single set of formula rates for four major transmission projects located in WAPA’s Desert Southwest region. Through the One Transmission Rate initiative, or OTR, DSW has consolidated the transmission rates of the Parker-Davis Project, Intertie Project, Central Arizona Project and ED5-Palo Verde Hub Project.

WAPA Selects New Chief of Staff

Christopher Lawrence​ has been named Western Area Power Administration’s new Chief of Staff. Lawrence officially assumed the position July 16. Lawrence has served as the acting chief of staff for WAPA Administrator and Chief Executive Officer Tracey A. LeBeau since early 2023.
