Customer Opportunity: DOE seeks experts for Electricity Advisory Committee

Are you an electric utility expert looking to make a nationwide impact? Or do you know someone with outstanding knowledge who is interested in broadening their scope? 

The Department of Energy’s Office of Electricity is now accepting nominations for new members to join the Electricity Advisory Committee. This important advisory group carries out various functions advising DOE on current and future electric grid resilience, security, reliability, sector interdependence and policy issues. It reviews and makes recommendations on DOE electric grid-related programs and initiatives, including electricity-related R&D programs and modeling efforts, among many other duties. Nominees with strong technical knowledge and expertise in the electricity sector are preferred. This includes understanding energy reliability, grid edge, utilities, energy distribution, energy storage, clean energy, cybersecurity, tribal energy and infrastructure. 

Any person or organization may nominate qualified individuals for membership. Self-nominations are also welcome. Learn more and submit nominations through Friday, April 19, 2024.
