Celebrating the holidays and WAPA’s legacy

As the year winds down and we gather to celebrate the holiday season, I want to take a moment to reflect on WAPA’s remarkable journey and express my gratitude for each of you.

Tomorrow marks WAPA’s 47th anniversary. On December 21, 1977, WAPA began its mission to safely provide reliable, cost-based hydropower and transmission to the communities we serve. Over the decades, that mission has remained steadfast, supported by the hard work, dedication and resilience of people like you.

Your efforts this year have continued to strengthen WAPA’s legacy. Whether you maintain critical infrastructure, respond to emergencies or find new ways to improve and modernize how we serve our customers, your commitment makes a difference every day.

The holidays are a time to pause, reconnect and recharge. I encourage you to take pride in our work together and spend time with those who matter most to you. Your contributions honor WAPA’s history and ensure its bright future.

Thank you for all you do. Wishing you and your loved ones a safe, joyful and peaceful holiday season.
