Colorado River Storage Project Transmission and Ancillary Services – 2026 Rate adjustment – WAPA-220
The Colorado River Storage Project (CRSP) Region (CRSPR) proposes new formula rates for the Colorado River Storage Project (CRSP) transmission and ancillary services for CRSP’s costs to be recovered under the Southwest Power Pool’s (SPP) Open Access Transmission Tariff (Tariff) should CRSPR decide to become a member of SPP.
The proposed formula rates will become effective on the latter of CRSPR’s membership date or the go-live date of the expansion of the SPP Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) into the Western Interconnection (scheduled for April 1, 2026, as of the date of this notice).

On October 27, 2025, Western Area Power Administration’s Colorado River Storage Project Region (WAPA-CRSP) posted its initial transmission and ancillary services formula rates to be utilized by SPP upon the RTO Expansion into the Western Interconnection, planned for April 1, 2026. The WAPA-220 Comment Period commenced December 30, 2024, and closed March 31, 2025.
- Reponses to comments received through the close of the public comment period will be included in the Final WAPA-220 FRN.
- March 14, 2025 – Responses to written and oral questions (PDF 225KB) received through the end of the Public Comment Forum on February 19, 2025. These responses were provided at least 15 days prior to the close of the WAPA-220 comment period as required.
