2024 PACI Rates for Short-Term Sales

Rates for short-term sales of Pacific Alternating Current Intertie (PACI) Point-to-Point (PTP) Transmission Service, effective for the period October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025, and October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026 (or until superseded, whichever occurs first):

Rate Schedule PACI-T4 and PACI-T4 REV

A cost-based rate to charge for Statutory Service on the PACI transmission line. This rate schedule applies to services that are identical to what is currently provided to Statutory Service customers today under Rate Schedule PACI-T

Rate Schedule PACI-T5 and PACI-T5 REV

An equitable rate, based on the WAPA-SN COTP transmission formula rate, to charge for surplus PACI transmission used for non-Statutory Service. This is a new rate schedule and applies to any entity purchasing surplus PACI transmission posted on OASIS.

Rate Schedule PACI DLAP-T6

An equitable rate, based on the WAPA-SN’s cost for wheeling power through the California Independent System Operator balancing authority area, to charge for surplus PACI transmission used for non-Statutory Service. This is a new rate schedule and applies to any entity purchasing surplus PACI transmission posted on OASIS.

WAPA-SN is conducting a formal rate process for PACI PTP transmission service to be completed within a year. In the meantime, rates for short-term sales are needed to charge cost-based and equitable rates, and allow time to conduct a formal public process.
