Loveland Area Projects Firm Electric Service & Sale of Surplus Products – 2025 Rate Adjustment
The Western Area Power Administration Rocky Mountain Region and Upper Great Plains Region Rate Order Nos. WAPA-202 and WAPA-203 respectively do not expire until December 31, 2027; however, based on current and forecasted financial data and forecasted hydrology, the current firm power rates are not sufficient to provide revenues to cover interest expense and to repay investments within the allowable period. RM and UGP are entering into a Rate Process, under Rate Order Nos. WAPA-212 and WAPA-213 respectively, to put new rates into effect for a 5-year period beginning January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2029.
