Cheyenne -Miracle Mile and Ault-Cheyenne
Transmission Line Rebuild Project CO and WY, DOE/EA-1456
WAPA is proposing to rebuild the existing Cheyenne-Miracle Mile and Ault-Cheyenne 115-kV transmission lines as 230-kV transmission lines.
The transmission lines running 136.4 miles from Cheyenne to Miracle Mile would be rebuilt with wood H-frame poles. However, double circuit single steel poles will be used for 3.4 miles through the city of Cheyenne to Cheyenne Substation.
WAPA is also proposing to rebuild the Ault-Cheyenne 115-kV transmission line with 230-kV/115-kV double circuit single poles for 32 miles and consolidate it with three miles of the Archer-Ault line.
