BEAVER CREEK-HOYT-ERIE
TRANSMISSION LINE REBUILD, CO, DOE/EA-1508
The Beaver Creek-Hoyt Transmission Line Rebuild project involves upgrading 91 miles of transmission line in Weld and Morgan counties in Colorado.
The project would upgrade 13 miles of 115-kV transmission line between the Hoyt and Wiggins substations. Between Beaver Creek Substation near Brush, Colo., and Hoyt and Erie substations, 78 miles of 115-kV transmission line will be upgraded to a double-circuit 230-kV line.
WAPA is working with landowners and other affected parties to determine alternate routes where land use has changed since the line was built 53 years ago.
