2026 Washoe Rate Case Extension: Rate Order No. WAPA-223

Washoe Rate Case

Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) Sierra Nevada (SN) Region plans to file a 5-year extension under Rate Order No. WAPA-223 for the Washoe Project, Stampede Division Non-Firm Power Formula Rate.

WAPA-SN is proposing to conduct a rate process from August 2025 through April 2026, to set rates into effect October 1, 2027, through September 30, 2032, or until superseded.

WAPA-SN will start the formal process by publishing a notice in the Federal Register and allow for a 14-day comment period.
