She began her tenure at WAPA by serving as legal counsel in WAPA’s Office of General Counsel. There she provided counsel to WAPA’s TIP in its earliest days, even assisting in closing TIP’s first loan, and represented WAPA’s interests in other DOE transmission development programs.

Green received her law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2009 and her bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Regis University in 2003, where she graduated magna cum laude. In 2015, she also earned an associate’s degree in electrical transmission system technology from Bismarck State College. She is licensed to practice law in Colorado.

Green is an active member of the Energy Bar Association, an international, non-profit association of attorneys, energy professionals and students active in all areas of energy law. Green has served in the roles of secretary, vice president, and president of the Rocky Mountain Chapter, and served as a director of the EBA board from 2021-2024.
