What is the most interesting thing you have worked on with WAPA? The most interesting thing was working on the infrastructure maintenance and upgrades for the Yuma, Arizona, area.
How does WAPA support your industry or business? WAPA provides transmission services for the delivery of federal hydropower to Wellton-Mohawk, Yuma Irrigation District, Yuma Mesa Unit B, North Gila and the Yuma County Water Users' Association in support of the Yuma area's $4 billion agricultural industry. WAPA transmission facilities also deliver federal hydropower to the Army's Yuma Proving Grounds, Barry Goldwater Range and Marine Air Corps Station in Yuma. WAPA transmission delivers power to facilities critical in managing the Lower Colorado River including Senator's Wash, the 242 Well Field, other Front Works and Levee facilities and the Bureau of Reclamation. Wellton-Mohawk and YCWUA are the federal hydropower aggregate power managers for the Yuma area.
