When did you start working with WAPA? I transferred from the Bureau of Reclamation to WAPA in March 1988.
What is the most interesting thing you have worked on with WAPA? Over the past one and a half years, I was part of the Critical Infrastructure Protection Version 5 Standards transition for Maximo. Although it was a lot of work, it was very interesting to implement a new process to track CIP assets and learn the impacts it has on so many different areas.
What do you wish people understood about your job and the work you do? As the regional coordinator for Maximo, my job crosses over to many other areas. Maximo has many different applications and interfaces with other programs such as the Financial Information Management System, DataSplice and CartoPac. I may ask a lot of questions, but I am just trying to keep these databases as correct as possible and gain a better understanding of WAPA's assets. I am always learning.
Tell us something about yourself we wouldn't find on your resume. My husband and I are empty nesters, except for the dog, and I am looking forward to retirement in a few years. I enjoy camping in our RV, cross-country road trips and target shooting. I also occasionally teach kid's church.
How is what you do tied to WAPA's mission? Many people just think of me as "the Maximo person," but the work I do affects reliability, costs and compliance as well.
