LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Western Area Power Administration will
host a webinar Jan. 11 at 10 a.m. Mountain Time to present its proposed Open Access Transmission Tariff revisions to customers and other stakeholders.
At the webinar WAPA will also outline the expected timeline to obtain stakeholder feedback, complete the OATT revisions and file the OATT revisions with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
One of the revisions is to remove the price cap on the resale of WAPA transmission capacity,
a proposal WAPA announced Oct. 5. Under WAPA's current OATT, a transmission customer faces a number of restrictions on setting a price to resell excess capacity.
Removing the price cap will bring WAPA's OATT more in line with current FERC orders and pro forma OATT and potentially increase benefits for WAPA's customers.
