LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Western Area Power Administration will host a webinar   Jan. 11 at 10 a.m. Mountain Time to present its proposed Open Access Transmission Tariff revisions to customers and other stakeholders.

Meeting materials and a redline of the proposed revisions are now available for review on WAPA's Open Access Same-Time Information System websites , thus initiating the 30-day feedback period on the proposed OATT revisions. The comment period has been extended to close of business on Feb. 1, 2019, due to the posting occurring during the holiday period.

At the webinar WAPA will also outline the expected timeline to respond to stakeholder feedback, complete the OATT revisions and file them with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

One of the revisions is to remove the price cap on the resale of WAPA transmission capacity, a proposal WAPA announced Oct. 5. Under WAPA's current OATT, a transmission customer faces a number of restrictions on setting a price to resell excess capacity.

Removing the price cap will bring WAPA's OATT more in line with current Federal Energy Regulatory Commision orders and pro forma OATT and potentially increase benefits for WAPA's customers.
