LAKEWOOD, Colorado – Dennis Sullivan has been named Western Area Power Administration’s Acting Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer by Administrator and Chief Executive Officer Mark A. Gabriel.
In announcing his selection, Gabriel said, “Dennis’ strong understanding of WAPA’s business and strategic direction is a good match for stepping in to lead our financial team.”
Sullivan has been the Chief Strategy Integrator for WAPA since February 2015, where he has focused on strategic planning and Roadmap integration. Gabriel added, “Dennis brings a wealth of experience in financial management, leadership and integrating strategic vision into operations.”
Sullivan has 25 years of experience supporting federal government organizations with a wide variety of missions. He has strong experience formulating strategic plans and developing and executing tactical plans both organization-wide and within business units. He spent 14 years in the Department of Defense and 10 years as a management consultant. He is skilled at solving business performance issues and improving customer relations. He has strong familiarity with WAPA’s Financial Community, having led a consulting team supporting the Financial Information Management System evaluation and the Office of the Chief Financial Officer organizational assessment and operating plan refresh.
Sullivan has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from the University of Colorado.
