The Western Area Power Administration-Sacramento Area Office (Western) hosted three public hearings for the purpose of soliciting input from the general public and federal, state, local and tribal agencies on the Sacramento Area Voltage Support (SVS) Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) related to the transmission of federal power. The purpose of the hearings was to identify public and agency concerns, to aid in selecting the Preferred Alternative in the final version of the EIS.

The three public hearings were held in Lodi, Folsom, and Marysville, California prior to the conclusion of the 45-day public comment period of December 30, 2002.
