Engaging the public early and developing long-term relationships with communities is critical to Western's success. We work to involve customers; property owners; tribes; local, state and Federal agencies; elected officials and community groups in program and project public involvement processes. We are committed to working collaboratively with industry partners to provide safe and reliable power and transmission services.

Meetings and events

Western holds meetings throughout our service territory to update customers and interested publics on programs and projects, and to identify and address communities' concerns early in the planning process.

  An informal customer meeting will be held at 10 a.m. MDT at the Radisson Hotel Denver Stapleton Plaza, 3333 Quebec Street, Denver, Colo.

Other projects

• West-wide energy corridor PEIS

The Department of Energy, the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service are preparing a programmatic environmental impact statement to evaluate issues associated with energy corridor designation on western public lands (excluding Alaska) administered by the BLM and the USFS. An online public information and involvement center for the West-wide Energy Corridor PEIS has been developed to provide access to information about the project and ways to participate in the PEIS process
