REGIONAL MANAGER ANNOUNCED FOR ROCKY MOUNTAIN REGION

LAKEWOOD, Colo. —Administrator Tim Meeks today announced the selection of Bradley Warren as the Rocky Mountain regional manager in Loveland, Colo. Warren brings more than 27 years of diverse technical and senior management expertise to Western's Rocky Mountain Region. He has most recently served as Western's Colorado River Storage Project Management Center Manager in Salt Lake City, Utah. "Brad brings a breadth of leadership experience in the power industry," Meeks said. "I look forward to him carrying on the tradition of serving public power while meeting the challenges we face in the future. I am pleased with this selection and confident that Brad will be an asset to the Rocky Mountain Region."
Warren graduated from South Dakota State University in 1982 with a bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering. He began his career with Western Area Power Administration at the construction office in Huron, S.D., before transferring to Billings, Mont., in 1987. In 1993, he began working at the maintenance office in Fort Peck, Mont., and served as its manager from June 1998 until he transferred to the Colorado River Storage Project Management Center in 2002. As Manager for the Colorado River Storage Project Management Center, Warren led a team of more than 40 employees who developed, directed and managed power marketing programs, contracts and finances for preference customers in Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona and Texas.
He will begin his new assignment on November 22, 2009.

Western Area Power Administration annually markets and transmits more than 10,000 megawatts of clean, renewable power from hydroelectric powerplants owned and operated by the Bureau of Reclamation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 15 western and central states. It is part of the Department of Energy.
