FOLSOM RESIDENT RECOGNIZED FOR EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE
Folsom, Calif.—Folsom resident Norine Larson will receive Western Area Power Administration’s highest honor at a ceremony June 26 at Western’s Sierra Nevada Regional office. Western’s Administrator Tim Meeks will present Larson with Western’s Exceptional Service Award during the ceremony.
“Our employees make up the heart and soul of our organization and are the key to our success,” said Meeks. Employees like Norine inspire us through their outstanding contributions, commitment and service. I appreciate her strong work ethic, persistence, determination and dedication to helping us succeed.”
Larson started her career in 1973 as a clerk typist in the finance
office at McClellan Air Force Base. She came to Western in 1999 as a budget
analyst for the Region’s Finance office. During her tenure with Western,
Larson has demonstrated a dedication to Western and accurate financial reporting
that many recognize. Her commitment to Western has been instrumental in the
Sierra Nevada Region's ability to obtain and sustain alternative financing
for projects that are essential to Western's mission and strategic goals.
Larson’s contributions to Western extend beyond her work as a financial program analyst. She volunteers to support the Regional Science Bowl and has been a study partner and mentor to junior finance staff by providing direction, focus and motivation.
