WESTERN SEEKS RENEWABLE POWER FOR EDWARDS AFB
LAKEWOOD, Colo.—Western Area Power Administration is soliciting proposals for non-hydro renewable electric power to serve Edwards Air Force Base in California.
The request for proposals calls for purchasing 305 MWh of electric energy annually for three years. The energy may be either in the form of electricity generated directly from renewable sources or electric energy combined with renewable energy certificates.
Letters of intent must be submitted by April 28, and final proposals are due by May 16 at 10 a.m., MST. Submit letters of intent or proposals to Western Area Power Administration, Desert Southwest Customer Service Region, ATTN: Norma Jensen-Shorty, 615 South 43 rd Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85009.
Letters of intent or proposals may also be faxed to Western at 602-605-2490 or e-mailed to Jensen@wapa.gov or Simonton@wapa.gov.
