 DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR RENEWABLE POWER PROPOSALS

LAKEWOOD , Colo. —The deadline to submit proposals for renewable power deliveries in New Mexico is extended until 5 p.m., Oct. 1. Western Area Power Administration is extending its request for proposals for non-hydro renewable electric power to serve Federal installations in New Mexico at the request of potential suppliers.

Western's Colorado River Storage Project Management Center seeks proposals for purchasing 66 GWh of renewable energy annually for five to 10 years. The extension gives those filing proposals an extra two weeks.

Deadline for submissions is 5 p.m., MDT, Oct. 1. Submit offers to: Western Area Power Administration, CRSP Management Center, ATTN: L6440, P.O. Box 11606, Salt Lake City , UT 884147-0606. If you have already submitted a proposal in response to the request for proposal, you may resubmit your proposal with any revisions before Oct. 1.

Western Area Power Administration annually markets and transmits more than 10,000 megawatts of power from hydroelectric powerplants owned and operated by the Bureau of Reclamation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 15 western and central states. It is part of the Department of Energy.
