Glendale resident to receive Western's highest honor

PHOENIX, Ariz.-- Glendale resident David Radosevich will receive Western Area Power Administration's Exceptional Service Award in a ceremony at Western's Desert Southwest Region office, June 18 at 11 a.m. Western Administrator Mike Hacskaylo will present Radosevich with the agency's highest honor.

Radosevich began his Federal career as an electrical engineer student trainee with the Bonneville Power Administration in 1980. He transferred to Western in 1983 and was assigned to the Division of Construction and Inspection, Specifications and Estimates Branch in Golden, Colo. After successfully completing Western's Rotational Engineer Program, he was reassigned to the Construction and Management Branch in 1986.

Radosevich graduated from Western's Mid-Management Development Program, and was instrumental in establishing a cost estimating database, which dramatically improved the accuracy of Western's construction estimates.

Western Area Power Administration annually markets and transmits more than 10,000 megawatts of power from hydroelectric powerplants owned and operated by the Bureau of Reclamation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 15 western states. It is part of the Department of Energy.
