Western recognizes Sandy resident for exceptional service
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — A resident of Sandy received the Western Area
Power Administration’s highest honor during a ceremony at the Lion House
today.
Western Administrator Mike Hacskaylo presented the Exceptional Service
Award to David R. Taylor, financial manager at Western’s Colorado River
Storage Project Management Center in Salt Lake City.
“The Exceptional Service Awards are a positive way to recognize some
of our most valued employees. They are symbols of what we as an agency
have accomplished and the great things we hope to achieve together in the
future,” noted Hacskaylo.
Taylor has held the financial manager position since he started with
Western here in 1978. Taylor served as both the acting financial manager
of Western’s Desert Southwest Region and financial manager of CRSP from
spring 1998 to the beginning of 1999. Continually distinguishing himself
for his credible and creative approaches to dealing with key issues, one
of Taylor’s coworkers commented, “Quality and customer focus are themes
that David stresses consistently.”
A graduate of Brigham Young University, Taylor resides in Sandy, Utah
with his wife Francine. They have eight children, Michael, 31, Stephen,
30, Ryan, 27, Spencer, 24, Brent, 22, Paul, 18, Rebecca, 15 and Kristen,
