Western's DSW admin officer named

Manager of Year by Hispanic Council

GOLDEN, Colo.- Frances Telles, the Desert Southwest Region's administrative officer for Western Area

Power Administration, was named Federal Manager of the Year by the Interagency Hispanic Employment

Program Managers in Phoenix on Sept. 10.

Telles, who has been with Western since 1992, was selected for coordinating the Region's Affirmative

Employment Plan and serving as the Region's Equal Employment Opportunity manager, advisor and

Alternative Dispute Resolution manager. She also arranged training for all EEO counselors at the annual DOE

EEO Coordinators Conference and served as a panel member at the Federally Employed Women's National

Conference. These activities, among others, are in addition to her job as administrative officer.
