Western prepared for Y2k

Lakewood, Colo.-Western Area Power Administration is prepared for Y2K. Although we expect no major Y2K-related problems over the rollover, nearly 450 Western employees will be on duty at more than 90 locations, across 15 Western states. These experienced individuals have the expertise to restore power to Western's 17,000-mile transmission line network should any problems arise.

To keep you abreast of events occurring in Western's service territory, we will update this web site on Dec. 31 at 11:45 p.m. and on Jan. 1 at 12:45 a.m., 1:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. MST. Non-routine reports of incidents will be posted as they occur.
