EPA program promotes green power purchases

The Green Power Partnership is a voluntary program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency working to standardize green power procurement as part of best practice environmental management. Partners in the program pledge to switch to green power for a portion of their electricity needs in return for EPA technical assistance and recognition.

Each quarter, the program releases a list of the Top 25 partners whose annual green power purchases are the largest, and whose green power purchase has been completed. Their purchases help to drive the development of new renewable energy sources.
