Environmental marketing strategy wins awards for LADWP
GreenLA is an umbrella program for marketing LADWP's environmental initiatives to its customers. Programs include "Green Power for GreenLA," as well as energy and water conservation initiatives, appliance and equipment rebates, recycling and environmental education.
Green Power for a GreenLA gives Los Angeles' residents the opportunity to purchase renewable energy at a slightly higher cost than energy from conventional sources. Free energy efficiency products and services provided by LADWP help to offset the extra cost.
The Financial Times honored GreenLA with the coveted "Renewable Company of the Year Award" during the gala Global Energy Awards event in New York City. It was also a finalist in the Overall Marketing Campaign of the Year and Environmental Practices of the Year categories.
