Fort Collins endorses hydrogen
The city of Fort Collins made one great stride toward energy independence March 19 when its city council passed Resolution 2002-027 establishing a policy to implement hydrogen-related projects.
Mandated partnerships
The resolution directs the city manager to seek external grant funding to hire a grant writer and to implement hydrogen demonstration projects. It also directs the city manager to explore partnerships to implement projects, and to develop and carry out a plan to provide community education about hydrogen.
The City of Fort Collins is a member of the Platte River Power Authority which purchases Federal hydropower from Western's Rocky Mountain Region.
