DMEA capitalizes on H Power technology
H Power Corporation recently installed next-generation residential cogeneration units at four U.S. rural electric cooperatives. Delta Montrose Electric Association of Montrose, Colo., was one of them.

Working closely with its marketing partner Energy Co-Opportunity, Inc., H Power also installed RCUs at Rappahannock Electric Cooperative in Bowling Green, Va.; Enerstar Power Corporation in Paris, Ill.; and Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative in Kearney, Mo.

The four cooperatives represent approximately 129,000 consumers within the four states in which they operate. These cooperatives are among the 302 member-owners of ECO. H Power installed additional RCUs at ECO member sites throughout May to complete deliveries under its beta test program. DMEA also used a previous RCU design in the alpha test phase of the program.
DMEA's fuel cell generates 4,500 watts and enough heat to supply much more than the average family of four's hot water needs.
