ETS units store off-peak energy
ETS room units are non-ducted heaters designed to heat the room or area where they are placed.

Electric thermal storage heating system units consist of electric elements surrounded by ceramic bricks inside a super insulated cabinet. The elements are energized and store up heat in the bricks only during off-peak periods.

During peak periods, the elements are disconnected, but an on-board, thermostatically controlled fan allows room air to be circulated over the hot bricks and blown out into the room whenever heat is needed. ETS units can hold their charge for long periods of time to produce 24-hour heating using only off-peak power.

Another type of ETS system is designed for use beneath concrete floors of new homes or room additions. Electric cables or tubes are embedded below the floor. They heat the concrete at night when the rates are low. All day long, the heat then radiates in the room to keep your family cozy and warm.

Both ETS systems are flameless, fumeless and pollution-free. So it's safer, cleaner, more efficient and definitely less expensive to operate.
