The Colorado River Storage Project Management Center markets power from the Colorado River Storage, Collbran and Rio Grande projects (marketed together as Salt Lake City Area Integrated Projects), the Provo River Project in Utah, and the Falcon/Amistad Project in Texas. Transmission service is provided on transmission facilities in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Texas and Wyoming.

Our mission is to manage the Colorado River Storage Project and other Federal hydroelectric projects and provide electrical services beneficial to our customers. We envision being the "Provider of Choice."

WHAT'S NEW

FEDERAL AGENCIES OFFERED EASY TOOL TO GO “GREENER”

LAKEWOOD, Colo.—Federal agencies interested in managing their energy costs, improving the environment and increasing national energy security are invited to join the 2009

renewable energy certificate solicitation being issued by Western Area Power Administration and the Federal Energy Management Program.

RECs provide Federal agencies with the environmental benefits of renewable energy, without requiring transmission or affecting existing power contracts.

And agencies can use RECs to meet the renewable energy goals set by the Energy Policy Act of 2005, Section 203 and Executive Orders. 
                                                                                            
Joining this solicitation is easy: download and complete the Statement of Intent for Federal Agencies to Purchase Renewable Resources

available on the Renewable Resources for Federal Agencies Web site. Fax or e-mail the completed form to Paula Fronk at 801-524-5017

no later than April 30, 2009. Western handles the rest, and FEMP covers the administrative cost of acquiring renewable resources—a savings to participants.
